A little about me 🤓

After graduating from the Art Institute at San Francisco in 2004, I worked at a variety of different brand marketing agencies and apparel companies. What I realized from that experience, was that without data and a connection to the user to back up my designs, it was just my opinion. In 2009 I shifted to Visual Design, where the user played a much bigger role in my design decisions.
I’m constantly questioning the world around me and looking for better ways to make a positive impact, so my personal and professional lives continuously merge as one.
The most important attribute I bring to the table is communication and collaboration. No great product was ever built in a silo (except maybe a silo?), early and often reviews across multiple stakeholders is important to me. I aspire to design and build products to help people solve real problems, and feel good doing it.

What do i do when i’m not at work?…more designing!

I think it’s essential to have a creative outlet outside of work, that is meaningful to you. My outlet is designing music-inspired posters for my little business, Mixerfriendly. As a Product Designer, i’m proactively validating my work and looking for inspiration, so this is where i let inspiration come to me and enjoy the process of having no process.
